Honjo 650b 51mm round smooth fender pair. A classic simple but elegant fender pair. The fender is 21mm tall. They seem similar in shape the the Berthoud fenders of similar width. This fender may let you use a 42mm Hetre tire in situations of limited clearance. This fender doesn't wrap as much on the side, so therefore you can use it in frames with less clearance. The fit is still going to be tight (actually not so tight as we've seen with some recent installations). But the tradeoff is less side wrap. But for a bike where you want to use 42mm Hertres, and fenders, but don't want to go to bent chainstays or really long chainstays, these are just the ticket!
There are safety risks associated with the use of fenders - if debris gets caught between the front tire and the fender, the wheel can lock which will cause a terrible accident. So use fenders with caution.
Remember that our fenders come with all hardware including a sliding bridge for the rear as well as our nifty thick leather washers. The fenders are nice and long, and also have the necessary indent by the forkcrown; not all Honjo's are supplied with this.
