It is a model 25 but with both the zip pocket on the underside of the main flap as well as the little card holder which also is typically found on the deluxe.
Here is the model 25 bag with elastic closures. But, we've had Berthoud add specifically for us, the wonderful zipper compartment on the underside of the main flap. This bag is specially made in small batches. It took about 7 months for these to be made (the bags are now complete, they are about to be air-shipped to the US). This batch will be what we have to work from through next season.
If you are like us, you like the idea of the zippered flap as a perfect place to put your keys and wallet so you can find them fast. Or at least your wallet. For some reason, I don't like the idea of the wallet "floating around" somewhere in the bag. I like to know exactly where it is. Aside from being neurotic, I like to be able to find my wallet fast when I pull into a rest stop or checkpoint.
This bag also includes our proprietary addtional stiffener at no additional charge.
The bag as part of the 25/2586 line, is the middle size of the 3 Berthoud "full size bags" and is the most popular.
