Berthoud 700c x 50mm fender pair & additional hardware.  

You get more than the "typical" Berthoud fender set whe you purchase from us.  In addtion to the fender stays mounting stuff and the forkcrown Daruma, you receive also a package of 6 Phil's leather washers (3 thick and 3 medium) as well as  6 M5 bolts and washers to attach to most bridges and some rack undersides.  

Note that fenders do pose safety risks. If something gets wedged between a fender and wheel, lock-up can occur which can be catostrophic up front.

These fenders are the ones to use with wide 700c tires - the Gran Bois Cypress for example (the one that is called 32mm but is closer to 31 or so) fits great.  These are the fenders we typically use on our Boulder Bicycle 700c bikes.

These stainless fenders are really very pleasant to install. The stay mounting (to the fender) is perhaps the best we've seen and makes for more toe clearance than a typical Honjo type mounting. The front fender is indented by the crown, and both fenders are pre-drilled for the stays. The rear fender is drilled by the chainstay bridge but you will need to drill by the seatstay bridge and if you are mounting the front fender to the underside of your front rack.

Included in the set is the two fenders, stays, hardware to mount the stays to the bike and the fenders, and the hardware that attaches to a brakebolt or rack to mount the fender to the underside of the forkcrown. These are the fenders to use if your running wide 700c tires (they will take the 30mm Grand Bois tire very well!)
