The Sachs Sedisport chain was the “it” narrow chain in the late 1970’s for ultra 6 freewheels. They shifted well, but they really lasted! We just came upon some late vintage Sachs/Sedisport chains and we’re really excited. They work on wide space freewheels also. These have “Sedis” in the triangle and also say “Sachs” as well. And best of all, this chain is priced right! For restoration or serious use!
Regina Oro Track Chain - a Titanic special. Unused of course. You get two chain lengths that were cut to length for bulk BMX bikes sales, so there is way more then enough for one bike. But some of the links are rusty. Many parts are fine, other parts are not fine (they are like something from the Titanic AFTER it sank). But with your trusty chain tool, you should be able to build up a chain on the cheap. Maybe train your kids to use a chaintool and keep them greasy and out of trouble (or in trouble).
A great quality vintage track chain that is ready to install and looks great!
Regina Oro Track Chain. We came upon a large amount of Regina NOS Oro track chain that was bulk packaged but in lengths for BMX use (it was an 80's thing!). Some had some corrosion, some was really nice.
But now we've gone through the pile and made up chains of proper track length (almost long enough for road use actually, but these are 1/8 chains of course and not for derailleurs) from really nice segments. There may be some discoloration, but these chains really look nice and are the exact equal of the Regina Oro track chains we were selling a year ago for $59 each. There is also a master link in the chain as well.
IRD freewheels shift wonderfully and come in an array of sizes. There just isn't any other currently made freewheel that offers the array of options that these do.
They have gone through a series of versions as they sought to improve quality. What we really noticed about these is how well they shift. Early versions of these were plagued by some quality issues. We have had some roughness too on the latest batch, but the maker says current reliabilty has been very very good. Plus, excepting cog wear, IRD will warranty without time limit these freewheels.
The 5 and 6 speed freewheels are "wide space". The 7 speed freewheels are narrow space.
